Everything you need to know about BOMO in one place.
General
What is Coworking?
While coworking existed before 2020, the pandemic really reshaped the way we think about working. Broadly speaking, coworking is an arrangement in which people from multiple companies share a work space and facilities.
For us at BOMO, it also means building a community that are the last to stop cheering for your victories and first ones to pick you up when you fall.
How does BOMO work?
BOMO is based on a monthly membership, with daily options available. You get access to the space, facilities such as wifi, monitors and podcast rooms and access to the BOMO Slack channel where you can connect with the community.
No deposits, renewal is monthly with a 30 day notice. All members are bound by non-disclosure agreements, so you can be sure your ideas won't fly off before you're ready to let them out.
Why cowork when I can work from home?
As appealing as it is to work in your PJs, the loneliness and distractions from working at home can get overwhelming.
Spending at least some of your week in a coworking space can boost productivity, creativity and motivation. You have coworkers to socialise, collaborate and network with, which can improve overall mental health and workplace wellbeing.
Why cowork when I can work from a cafe?
Cafes can be a popular place to work from outside of home, but often lack essential office facilities like fast wifi, monitors and powerpoints to really get the job done. They can also be noisy and distracting, which makes both working and meeting clients difficult.
Where can I find you?
BOMO is located in the Nicholas Street Precinct, right opposite the new HOYTS complex (we're number 38!). There is undercover parking available in the precinct itself and we're a 5 minute walk from the Ipswich train station.
How might I get in touch with you?
Emailing us at team@bomo.au is the best way for us to get back to you.
How do I book a tour?
You can book a tour via the link on our membership or event pages. Otherwise shoot us a message via our contact form or send an email to team@bomo.au.
Members
Do I have to be a business owner to use the space?
Not at all! We welcome like-minded individuals and companies to use the space and challenge the working norm to boost their own creativity, productivity and well-being.
What's included in my membership?
All memberships have access to the space and facilities, wifi, the community Slack channel, meeting rooms, and podcast/private Zoom room. Certain membership options also give you access to Decision Days and a free event credit.
What furniture and facilities are provided?
We have wifi, desks, office chairs and monitors for members to use while in the space. You're welcome to the kitchenette, as well as self service coffee and tea.
Is there a limit to the space available?
Of course there's a limit to the physical space we have available, but we're happy to work with members to sort out a working arrangement that best suits you!
Am I locked into a contract or minimum term?
Not at all! At BOMO we want you to use and enjoy the space as you need it. That's why we offer a number of different membership options, all of which are month-to-month with no lock-in contract.
What is a Decision Day?
At BOMO, we don't just want to be able to provide a space and community for you, we also want to help you and your business grow, survive and thrive.
That is why we also provide resources and workshops to help you assess your own workflow, make the best decisions you can and keep up to date with trends in the business world.
Events
Do I have to be a member to book the space?
You don't have to be a member to hold events at BOMO. However, for a $10 monthly fee you can get access to member rates for event space hire, as well as access to the daily membership rate if you'd like to use the space to work as well.
What furniture and facilities are provided?
When you hire the space you'll get access to a furnished space, wifi, a projector and Bluetooth speakers. Additional furniture from other parts of BOMO can be moved in if you require them.
There are no cooking facilities, but you are welcome to bring your own food or organise catering. Self service tea and coffee are provided.
How many people can the space hold?
The Blue Room can hold around 8-15 people and the Sunshine Room can hold up to 44 standing or 20-25 people at desk seating.
